New Releases: What upcoming games are you looking forward to?
What can I say that hasn't already been said? Braid is by far the best indie puzzle-platformer I've ever played. Not that that's a particularly wide genre, but man, it's so fresh and new. Everything about the game hadn't been done before, and that same originality was what drove me to complete it. Not the story, although that was great, and not the graphics and music, which were to a much higher standard than people are accustomed to from the indie scene, but because I knew that the further I got, the more amazing things were going to happen that would blow my mind. Finishing it felt amazing, 'cause I knew that it took so much brain-power, so much thinking, and that I probably never would've got through it without help from my friend. It's the video game equivalent of putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Sometimes all you need is a fresh mind, a new way of thinking, and everything suddenly clicks into place. A perfect score, for what is, almost, a perfect game. Can't wait to see what Mr. Blow comes up with next.
